Default Marital (same name as some others, different concept)

Yea sorry about the name to whoever made other martial classes, this is a little bit different (and it's primarily meant to go into gw2, unless they add another class in gw, which I highly doubt).
Martial


Background
Martials are incredibly strong hand-to-hand combat artists. They use a variety of punches and stances to defeat their opponent out of sheer flexibility and speed. Also known as exhausting combat, in which a large part of the Martial’s combat is based on endurance.

Basic Statistics
Max Health- 500
Max Energy- 30
Max Armor- 60 (+10 vs. physical damage, +10 vs. elemental damage)
Max Weapon- Demon Bracers (3-49 damage, +20% while in a stance, +20% while under the effects of a hex)

New Stuff
Bracers-
Weapons that are fitted onto your forearm, magically enhanced to strengthen the user’s knuckles to withstand force of impact. Also can be magically tuned to inflict different types of damage.


Guard-
This is a type of hand placement that allows the Martial to gain greater damage or speed with punches and dodging or blocking. Only one guard can be active at a time.

Punch-
Just a new type of attack

Attributes
Endurance- (Primary Attribute)
Decreases the amount of energy you spend on guards, stances, and punches while in combat by 1% per point in endurance.
Fist Combat-
Increases the damage done by bracers and the power of punches, for each point in this attribute, your punches gain .1% armor penetration.
Defensive Combat-
Increases the ability of the Martial to defend himself/herself in combat, mostly consisting of stances and guards.
Open Palm Combat-
Includes some of the most devastating powers of the Martial, very powerful punches that can sometimes be a double edged sword.

Sample Skills
Endurance
Primal Focus- 5 energy 12 recharge
(Stance) for 10 seconds, you suffer -5…15 damage from all sources but inflict -5 damage.

Fist Combat
Focuses Punch- 5 energy 12 recharge
(Punch) if this attack hits it strikes for +5…35 damage. If target foe would block this attack, that foe is knocked down and struck for 5…20 damage.

Jab- 5 energy 2 recharge
(Punch) if this attack hits it strikes for +5…20 damage. If you are in a stance this attack cannot be blocked.

Chest Strike- 15 energy 14 recharge
(Punch) if this attack hits, it strikes for +5 damage for every condition and hex on target foe (maximum +20…+35 damage)

Repeated Strikes- 15 energy 12 recharge
(Stance) for 30 seconds, your next 1…10 attack skills have 1…30% armor penetration.

Deadly Strike- 5 energy 14 recharge
[Elite Punch] if this attack hits, it strikes for +5…45 damage and inflicts bleeding for 5…25 seconds. If this attack misses, you and all nearby foes take 5…40 damage.

Deadly Accuracy- 5 energy 20 recharge
(Stance) for 5…10 seconds, your melee attacks cannot be blocked or dodged. Any time you would be blocked or dodged, the blocking foe is knocked down.

Defensive Combat
Basic Guard- 5 energy ½ cast 12 recharge
(Guard) for 20 seconds, you gain +5…15 armor and +5…30 armor against physical damage.

Sidestep Guard- 5 energy 1 cast 24 recharge
(Guard) for 8 seconds, the next spell used against you has no effect. If a spell is negated, all enchantments and stances on you refresh for 5…10 seconds.

Injured Defense- 10 energy ¼ cast 8 recharge
(Guard) for 10 seconds, if you are affected by a condition or hex, you have a 30…75% chance to block attacks.

Advanced Guard- 15 energy ¼ cast 12 recharge
[Elite Guard] for 30 seconds you gain +5…40 armor against physical damage and receive 10…50% less damage from spells. This guard ends if you are knocked down.

Weave- 5 energy 4 recharge
(Stance) for 5 seconds, you gain a 75% chance to dodge attacks. If you are hit, you suffer 200…30% more damage then you would have otherwise.

Counter- 5 energy 12 recharge
(Skill) the next attack against you is blocked, the foe you are currently attacking takes 50…120% of the damage from the attack you blocked. (Ex. If that attack would’ve done 100 damage the foe takes 120 damage at max).

Shuffle- 5 energy 24 recharge
(Stance) for 20 seconds, you gain a 5…70% chance to dodge attacks. If you are hit, you shadow step directly out of your current earshot and this stance ends.

Open Palm Combat
Snake Stance- 5 energy 12 recharge
(Stance) for 15 seconds, every time you hit with an attack skill you inflict 33% less damage but also inflict bleeding for 5…10 seconds.

Rib Jab- 10 energy ½ recharge
(Punch) this attack strikes for +5…30 damage and inflicts a deep wound for 20 seconds. All your other punches are disabled for 5…2 seconds.

Sword Block- 5 energy 6 recharge
(Skill) for 8 seconds, if you are struck with a sword attack, that attack is blocked. If you are attacked by another source you gain 1…5 energy.

Divine Twister- 10 energy 46 recharge
[Elite Stance] for 3 seconds all foes attacking you in melee take 5…45 damage and are knocked down.

Ferocious Punch- 25 energy 14 recharge
(Punch) this attack strikes for +5…60 damage. You suffer from exhaustion and bleeding for 10 seconds.

Two Words:

Overpowered & Unbalanced
==========

First off, its regardless, how to name the Class, because whatever you will create, it will remember ever on a War Monk or the better known famous Shaolin Monks, which are known for their awesome melee technics and endurance of their fight style.
Being a Shaolin Monk is an honour, when you are one, then you really know of yourself, that you are really tough and that you can defend yourself very good in critical moments.

This kind of class is best being implemented into GW2, when anet either changed hopefully the concept of the Monks, making out of Monks Martial Artists and the Concept of the Monk as healer and Protter will be given to a Priest or Cleric class, or whatever fits this role better, then monks.

For me personally your CC is not unique enough, your attributes are much too strong forced only on fist combat oO > boring....a Martial Artist is more, then only fighting with fists and feet... especialy in a fantasy game like GW

To let the Martial Artist (iE. for a nice GW Name > Xunlai Monk as equivalent to the Shaolin Monk XD > in short: The Xunlai) look more unique, attributtes should look maybe like this:


P Meditation
Meditation includes the special inner forces of the Xunlai. The Ability to concentrate your fullest Power of Chi into your Skills to increase your attack powers
Every 3 Points in Meditation the Xunlai gets healed by +1 times * the number of Energy cost of used skills in HP.
Ex: Meditation is 15, Xunlau uses a Skill that costs 25 Energy and will be healed by 125 HP, after casting ended.
Meditation includes self heal, self buff and energy attack skills.

Martial Arts
An Attribute, that contains 3 different kinds of martial arts fighting.
- Fist&Feet Style (Braces)
- Battle Staff Style
- Nunchaku Style

So 3 weapons in one Attribute, but fight style specialized skills in it, so not every skill can be used with every fight style, also some meditation skills can only be used with certain fight styles.
Skills will be signed with little signs to show, which skills can be used with which Style by littles signs in the upper right corner of the Skill Symbol

- Hand
- A Big Stick
- Two little Sticks bonded by a short chain

All styles are F&F is 1H Style both others are 2H
F&F Style (Braces) > 5-20 Blunt Damage, ASPD > like Dagger
BS Style > 8-28 Blunt Damage, ASPD > like Swords
N Style > 11-22 Slash Damage, ASPD > like Dagger

When F&F Style, 1 Brace is your Punch Weapon, the other Brace is your Focus Item Brace, that increases for you your Defense and slightly energy.
So not +16 Defense and +12 Energy, no, half of both > + 8 Defense and + 6 Energy are max for the Focus Item Brace

Mental Eye
Includes Defensive Skills, iE. mostly Stances and Meditations. Skills that increase defense versus special sorts of damage or that increase block chance versus special sorts of damage, but this attribute includes also Counter Skills

Forbidden Arts
this Attribute includes also powerful Energy Attacks, like in Meditation, but these Skils are unlike the meditation Attacks powerful AoE-Attacks, that can hit more than one foe. Arts, so powerful, that the Xunlau has to be first in a special kind of Meditation, to be able to use such a Skill of the forbidden Arts, otherwise the Xunlai would kill hisself by using such an Skill of the forbidden Arts. Selb when being in the special meditaton state, the Xunlai will suffer on HP loss, or negative conditions, hwen using such a Skill.
Most of these Skills will cause strong Exhaustion.

The Stats of the Xunlai

Max HP: 480
Max Energy: 35 (41)
E Reg: >>>>
Defense: 70 (78)

New Things:

Meditation: A new Type of Skill, like Stances, Glyphs, ect., mostly like a Preparation, only with the difference, that meditations are as long as permanent, as the Xunlau keeps it up (-1 E Reg)
meditation gets not handled like an Enchant, so it cant be deleted by enchant removers

And..naturally the 3 new melee fightstyles including 3 new Weapons
Braces, Battle Staffs and Nunchakus

The weapon damage is really high, as well as being augmented by 2 weird types of new weapon upgrade which resembles an overpowered insigna.
In order the balance that the attack speed would be really slow, 2.1 or 2.3 or something.
Which I could still imagine if 1 attack would represent 2 seconds of punching a foe, instead of 1 punch is 1 attack.

It's essence is kind of dealing a lot armor ignoring bonus damage, in other words pure assassin.

It even shadow steps, that should be really obvious.
It is an assassin without critical strikes, but with tuned down expertise instead.

Phoenix's looks more original, though I think the primary might be a tad over, providing the equivalent of 13 pips of health regen when used right.
Something like: [skill=text]Way of the Empty Palm[/skill] with [skill=text]Repeating Strike[/skill]

Other than that the 3 weapon style could be nice, but why use 3 different weapons? 1 staff weapon that you can take apart into 4 smaller sticks or put away would be much more dynamic, you could switch mid combat to gain the defensive bonus of the staff, the speed of the sticks or the balanced advantage of unarmed, while still benefiting from the upgrades of your weapon.
And perhaps a special upgrade that does X while a staff, Y while nunchucks, and Z while unarmed.

Just my 2 cents

Example Skills of my Xunlai Concept for a Martial Artist Class for GW2:

Meditation

Inner Silence
Meditation
As long the Xunlai keeps up the Meditation of Inner Silence, Damage of Critical Hits from foes will be reduced vs. you by 10-25%

Palm Fist Blast
F&F Specialized Style Skill
The Xunlai will concentrate some of his Chi Power into his next Attack.
The next attack will do +20-35 additional Chaos Damage, will interrupt the foe, when hit while foe was using a Skill and will knock down the foe for 1-3 Seconds. Is the foe suffering on Weakness, then the foe gets knocked down for additional 2 seconds.

Roar of the Tiger
Enchant
The Xunlai will get enchanted for 10-30 seconds of Eye of the Tiger.
The next 1-5 Attacks will have 10-20% increased attack power.

Aura of impulsive Energy Waves[E]
Enchant.
While being enchanted with AoIEW, for the next 30 seconds, the Xunlai will receive every 3 seconds 1-5 Energy, while being in Meditation.
When other Xunlais are in your near, they also receive this Energy Gain, when such a pulsating Energy Wave touches them.

Wind Cutter
Chi Energy Attack
The Xunlai will create with his Chi Power a big Circle Blade of Energy at his Hand over his head, to throw this Circle Blade at one energy.
this Circle Blade of Energy is so sharp, it can cut the Wind. This Blade will follow its target so long, until it hits, so running away wont help.
The Blade hits for 30-70 Chaos Elemental Damage and causes a deep wound for 5-15 seconds. Enemies hit by the blade as long the Blade didn't hit its main target will also receive 15-25 Damage,whenever they touch the blade. So running away cross over the field through your allies is really no help XD

Renewing Sleep
Meditation
While in this meditation, the Xunlai can't Move, but will loses every 3 seconds a Condition and when losing a Condition, the Xunlai will be healed for 30-80 HP. When the Xunlai awakes from his Sleep, he will suffer for 10 seconds on an Exhaustion of the Skills Energy Cost, but will be healed 10-15 HP per Energy Point of Exhaustion

Soul Cleaner
Meditation
The Xunlai will get into the meditation of Soul Cleaning. While being in this Meditation, the Xunlai can't move, will lose all 3 seconds a hex and when losing a Hex, the Xunlai will lose 1-5% of his Max HP, but will receive 10 Energy therefore it

Tripple Roundhouse Kick[E]
F&F Specialized Style Skill
The Xunlai will put some of his Chi Powers to perform a quick Roundhouse Kick 3 times in a row. These kicks will do + 15-25 damage and have an increased chance of being criticals by 1-10%

Claws of the Mantis
Nunchaku Specialized Style Skill
A Chi performed Nunchaku attack, with that a foe gets hitted twice.
Each hit does hit the foe for 30 damage.
When the foe is enchanted, then the foe will suffer for 5-10 seconds on bleeding. Was the foe not enchanted, then each hit will steal the foe 1-5 Energy up.

Breath of the Dragon
BS Specialized Style Skill
The Xunlai will start to rotate his Battle Staff in front of him very quick. The rotation will heat up the staff creating a flame thrower like Fire Burst to the front. Hitten foes by this Flame throw will receive 20-50 fire damage and will burn for 3 seconds. Was the foe still burning, then he will suffer on additinional 20-50 damage

Martial Arts

Meteor Drive[E]
F&F Specialized Style Skill
The Xunlai will automatically run up to a next foe, short before arriving shadow step into the foe's back, grab the foe, throw it high up into the air and will jump to the foe in the air to smash it down like a meteor into the Ground with a Salto Kick. The into the ground smashed enemy will be dazed for 10-20 seconds and will suffer 35-75 Earth Damage. Was the Foe Weakended, than the foe's Skills will be deativated also for 10 seconds.

Tiger Knuckle Fist
F&F Specialized Style Skill.
This attack is a Lead Hand Attack.
TKF will do + 10-20 additional damage, was the foe hexed, then the foe will be crippled after this attack.

Storming Flower
F&F...
This Attack must be follow a Lead Hand Attack.
If this Attack hits a crippled foe, the foe will suffer on +30-45 damage.
The hitted foe will be smashed away versus an other foe, that will receive 15-30 damage if other foes are nearby, otherwise the main target wil be knocked down and the combo ends and must be started from new.

Rising Phoenix[E]
F&F...
This attack is a Fatality Combo Attack, that must be followed after a Followed Attack, like Storming Flower.
When performing Rising Phoenix, the Xunlai will jump into the Air. His body will start burning (just an optical effect) and the Xunlai will crush from the sky as a firebird into his main target, performing 50-120 fire damage to the target and all adjacent foes to it.
This Skill will cause Exhaustion.

Twister Staff
BS...
The Xunlai will thow his rotating staff versus a foe. That attack will interrupt the foe. If this attack was a magic spell, the spell gets disabled for the next 20 seconds and Twister Staff also.

Windmill Slash
This Attack is a Lead hand Attack.
The Xunlai will hit his target for 2 unblockable attacks, the first will knock down the foe, but does only 1-11 damage, the second hit will do +30-45 damage and will lift up the foe into the air.

Back Stab
BS...
This attack must follow a Lead Hand Attack.
When targeting a foe in the Air, the Xunlai will jump into the air too stabbing the foe back to the ground for +15-25 damage. This Skill will cause bleedign for the next 5-15 seconds.

Staccatto
BS...
This Attack is a Fatatily Combo Attack, used after a Followed Attack like Back Stab.
When performing Staccatto on a target, the target will receive 5-10 hits.
Each hit has 15% chance of missing and will do fix damage of 15 per Hit. These attacks are unblockable, when they hit, if the target is suffering on an condition.
The tenth final Hit will be a 100% critical and does double damage.

Snake Bite Slash[E]
N...
This Attack is a lead Hand Attack.
Snake bite Slash will interrupt the foe, if it was enchanted. When the foes was enchanted and hitted by this attack, the foe will lose 1-3 enchants.
This Attack does only 1-11 damage, but for every enchant, the foe hs lost through SBS, this attack will do additional 10-20 damage. When the foe has lost through this attack 3 Enchants, then the attack will also poison the enemy for 3-5 seconds per lost enchant

Warning of the Rattle Snake
Hex Attack
This Attack must follow a Lead hand Attack.
If this attack hits a foe, that is suffering on poison and has still over 50% of HP, then this attack will cause a deep wound for 5-15 seconds.
When the deep wound ends and the enemy has still over 25% of HP, the foe wil suffer 35-90 damage

Mental Eye

Cautiously Movement
Stance
Trap Skill will not activate, while being in this Stance for the next 10-30 seconds

Foresightful Mind
Enchant
The Xunlai will have a 75% chance to block the next 1-5 physical attacks for the next 10 seconds.

Blade Stop
Counter Attack Stance
While being in this Stance, for the next 10-20 seconds the Xunlai has a 50% chance to auto counter melee attacks from any Wielder of a Sword or of Daggers. When auto countering an Attack, the foe will receive 100-150% damage of the countered attack.

Steel Skin[E]
Meditation
While being in the Meditation of Steel Skin, the Xunlai will move 90% slower, but will receive no damage from any sources, then only of lightning damage.
this Skill increases also the attack power of F&F Skills by 5-15%
This Skill will be disabled for 5 Seconds per Skill, that you use, while being in this Meditation

Disciple of the Flames
Meditation
While being in this Meditation, the Xunlai will receive -15-25% lesser Damage from Fire. Everytime hitten by Fire Damage, the Xunlai will receive 1-5 Energy

Disciple of the Air...
see above and think of Air and also for the other Elements...

Barrier Field[E]
Skill
The Xunlai will use some of its Chi Powers, to create for 10 seconds a Barrier Field around hisself. This Field will absorb the next 1-5 Single Target Spell Attacks and the Xunlai and all adjacent Allies in the BF will get healed instead of the sum, he would have received otherwise as damage.

Raven's Eye
Enchant
For the next 10-30 seconds, the chance for succesful Counter Attacks is increased by 1% per Rank of this Skills's Attribute

Disarming Counter[E]
Counter Attack Stance.
When being attacked within the next 10 seconds, while being in this stand, the next attack will make no damage to you you will disarm the foe for 10-20 seconds. While being disarmed, the foe can't use skills of the disarmed weapon.

Unbreakable Bones
Enchant
While being enchanted with this Skill, you can't be be either crippled or knocked down and you receive 15-25% lesser damage from Hammers for the duration of 5-15 seconds

Mental Barrier
Enchant
When performing Barrier, there is a 50% chance, that hexes on you won't work for the next 30-60 seconds. Everytime you block an enemy hex by this way, the Xunlai will lose 10-5 Energy, or mental Barrier will end.

Forbidden Arts

Eye of the Tornado
BS Specialized Style Skill
The Xunlai wil start whirling around his Battle Staff over his head very quick for 20 Seconds.
While doing so, every adjacent foes will suffer 15-25 Lightning (Wind) damage per second. This Skill has an armor penetration of 25% and will cause Exhaustion. The Xunlai can move while perfoming this attack and the created tornado will follow the Xunlai, where ever he/she goes

Rekkakuken Ryuken-Ha[E]
Meditational Fatality Energy Attack Skill
to be able to perform this one of the most strongest forbidden Arts, the Xunlai must be first in the state of the Meditation of doomed Souls in his strongest phase of summoning 5 protective Souls, that will beware the Xunlai from the deadly might of thes Forbidden Art.
This Skill wil use up all your energy and can be only used at full energy.
The Xunlai will put his two hands together to 1 big shape of a dragonlike Mouth and in this Mouth, the Xunlai will concentrate all of his powers in one final Strike. After all of his preparation, the Xunlai has become a ticking timebomb. Whenever the Xunlai will now blow away his mighty concentraded force, a devastating shiny lightblue ray of pure energy will eliminate anything, that will stand in its way letting all enemies in a line that are hitten by this attack suffer on 150-250 Damage. After that, theis Skill can't be used again for the next 3 Minutes and the Xunlai will suffer for the next minute on -4 Energy Degeneration and moves 50% slower
This attack should be used really only as absolute Last Resort.

Soul of the Doomed
Stocking Enchant
Whenever the Xunlai uses this Enchant spell, he will summon a a Doomed Soul, that will protect the Xunlai, when performing forbidden Arts.
The Xunlai could do that without these Souls, it would be much quicker, then to do so much preparation before, but the result would be only to be kille by its own forbidden Art, cause of too much lost Life Force, when concentation all inner powers into one of these arts. This Enchant can be used only 5 times in a row, after that no more souls will appear.
Each Soul floating arround you will increase meanwhile you max HP by +25-50 HP

Spheres of Apocalypse[E]
Meditational Fatality Energy Attack Skill
Before usign this Skill, the Xunlai should be better in the State of Meditation of Doomed Souls. at its strongest phase of 5 Souls.
Thiss Skill must be used 3 times, before the Apocalypse comes. Whenever used, a Sphere of Apocalypse will appear, when spoken the 3rd time, the 3 Spheres of Apocalyse will explode in a huge atomic like explosion doing 100-200 Damage to all enemies in the zone of the compass.
This Skill causes Exhaustion.

Phoenix I doubt this or any of the changes you are hoping for are actually gonna be put into gw or gw2. I really don't care what some of the people say here anymore, I'm pretty dang sure that arena net isn't actually viewing our opinions with any actual respect (if you have anything contrary to say to this plz go start an anti-darkhell153 website somewhere and pray that I don't hack it, but plz don't divert anymore off topic of concept classes).

lol, don't be emo, only because people find my version of a Martial Artist more unique, then yours

When you don't like opinions of others, postings that include shared opinions about CC's about a certain type of profession, then this is not a forum for you imo... then you should create better an own forum, where you are the lonely member. There you can post then tons of ununique sounding CC's, where none will ever disturb you...
